B1 Ride Report - Heysham - Chris Jones
Sunny trip to the seaside today, 6 of us set off from the cobbles heading first to Lancaster via Cockerham and Glasson, with flat roads and a slight tail wind we managed 17mph average to Glasson.
Pace moderated somewhat from there after checking out the state of The Stork and the small lanes and cycle paths around Lancaster.
Arriving in Heysham we stopped at Half Moon Bay Cafe where it was variation of bacon, sausage and egg buns, apart from Ray and myself, we were happy with the porridge we'd had for breakfast.
As we were leaving I was about to take one of my famous group selfies when a kind man carrying a huge camera offered to take the pic on my now very inadequate seeming mobile phone??
From there it was a zoom along the prom and onto the cycle paths back to Lancaster, through the Uni, Galgate, Forton, Scorton and back to Garstang.
Great day in the sunshine with good company, let's hope for the same again next week ??????
