12 members met up in Albertville , most people arrived Friday and Grace and Ian Gibson flew in on Saturday to take up residence in their rather smart Glamping tent .

The group had various types of accommodation comprising of tents, caravan, motor homes and B&B . All gathering in the evenings to eat on the camp site which was 5 minutes walk from the town centre of Albertville. Andrew and Lesley joined us most days by driving from their accommodation in Bozel.

The maps were perused over on Friday evening . Two natural groups formed for cycling and people opted for whatever they wanted to do each day.

In summary :
Albertville was a great base for the week thanks to Andrew for the suggestion - great sorbet at the end of most of the rides

All enjoyed a celebratory meal out on Thursday evening - thanks to the lady at the camp site for her recommendations and booking for us.

The gourmet lunch and ride to Bozel was a very special day out for all to enjoy - thanks to Lesley and Andrew

The outstanding trip of the week for all was the Cormet de Roseland - thanks to Adam for pointing out that it was Isobel's favourite . It was a hard, long climb and very hot , the scenery made it very special and worthwhile.

The weather was quite kind to us and any rain that we had came mainly in the evening dampening a few of the evening meals times , but not dampening our spirits.

It was a great week with great company and superb cycling.
Those who attended were

Adam Hindle, Ian Tunbridge , Jackie McPartlin, Euan Cameron ( for the first weekend ) , Ian and Grace Gibson, Gwen and Ken Ainsworth, Andrew and Lesley Darnell , Kath and Rick Wiggans , Sue Taylor and Justin Lindsey Noble .

Now who wants to put the stake in the ground for next years trip ????
